Life is full of transitions. From one season to the next, we often find ourselves navigating change—sometimes expected, sometimes abrupt. But every shift is an opportunity to deepen our trust in God and gain clarity on His purpose for our lives. Let’s journey through five spiritual stages many

encounter and discover how God meets us in every one.

1. Recognizing the Season You’re In

Scripture Focus: Ecclesiastes 3:1–8"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."

Before we can move forward, we must first pause and reflect. What season are you in right now—growth, waiting, healing, release, or new beginnings? Recognizing your current spiritual season helps you become more aware of God’s presence and purposes. God doesn’t waste seasons. He uses them all to mature, prune, and position us. This is a time for honest reflection, prayer, and attentive listening.

Goal: Identify your current spiritual season and reflect on how God is working within it.

2. When God Begins to Shift Things

Scripture Focus: Isaiah 43:18–19"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!"

Change can be uncomfortable—especially when God begins to move us out of what’s familiar. Letting go of the old requires faith. This season challenges us to trust that God is orchestrating something greater, even when we can’t see it yet. The past served its purpose, but God invites us into the new with open hands and surrendered hearts.

Goal: Let go of the old and embrace the new thing God is doing in your life.

3. Navigating the In-Between (The Wilderness)

Scripture Focus: Exodus 13:17–22

The wilderness is the space between what was and what is yet to come. It can feel like a delay, but it is a divine classroom for learning endurance, obedience, and dependency on God. Like the Israelites being led through the wilderness, we must stay anchored to His presence—even when the path is uncertain. God never leaves us; His pillar of cloud and fire is still guiding us.

Goal: Stay rooted in God when the way forward seems unclear.

4. Embracing the New Season with Purpose

Scripture Focus: Joshua 1:1–9"Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Stepping into a new season takes courage. Joshua faced the daunting task of leading the Israelites into the Promised Land after Moses' death. God’s command to him is still relevant to us today: Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid to move forward. Your calling is not behind you—it’s ahead. Obedience is your next step.

Goal: Equip yourself to step boldly into your calling and purpose with courage and faith.

5. The Fruit of the Shift

Scripture Focus: Galatians 6:9; Romans 8:28"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest."

Every spiritual shift leads to fruit. Whether it's personal growth, a deeper trust in God, or a powerful testimony—you will come out stronger, wiser, and more aligned with His will. God uses all things for good. Celebrate the evidence of His hand in your life. Your transformation is not just for you; it's a testimony to others.

Goal: Recognize and celebrate the spiritual fruit that emerges from every season.

Final Thoughts: Shifting seasons can feel uncertain, but they are also sacred. Every transition holds divine intention. Whether you’re recognizing your current season, releasing the past, waiting in the wilderness, stepping into something new, or celebrating the harvest—know this: God is with you in every part of the journey. Trust the shift.
